11074 Background: Osteopontin (OPN) has been characterized as an early detection marker in serum of patients with mesothelioma (MM). Existing assays have specified that OPN should be measured in plasma and not serum. This study was designed to (1) validate plasma OPN as a biomarker for MM (2) investigate whether plasma OPN is a prognostic marker for MM.
