Causes of visual impairment in a driving population in Nigeria

1991 
A vision survey of professional motor vehicle drivers in Oyo State, Nigeria, showed that ocular trauma, ocular infections and inflammation were the most important causes of visual impairment. Self-medication was very common with the drivers and must have contributed considerably to ocular morbidity.
