Clinical Safety of Bariatric Arterial Embolization: Preliminary Results of the BEAT Obesity Trial

This initial phase of the BEAT Obesity trial demonstrates that bariatric embolization with 300–500-μm calibrated spheres is technically feasible, appeared to be well tolerated, and appeared to induce short- or intermediate-term weight loss in this small cohort of severely obese patients.
