Investigation of chronic disease in Jianghan Oil Field and research of community nursing intervention

Objective:To explored the situation of chronic disease community nursing model in Jianghan Oil Field to perform the community nursing in the limited conditions.Methods:3098 oil workers were basically surveyed for chronic disease,then the nursing intervention was conducted in the 1061 patients with chronic disease under the established community nursing model and the effects of intervention were evaluated.Results:The knowledge and needs of farmers with chronic disease towards community nursing,awareness of preventing disease and health protection,the effects of treatment and psychological function were improved significantly(P0.01) between before intervention and after intervention,and the acerage-year medical expense of the farmers was reduced.Conclusion:This community nursing model suits the features in Jianghan Oil Field,and it is practical and necessary to carry out the community nursing in Jianghan Oil Field.
