Complications of TAG and Conformable TAG (CTAG) Thoracic Endoprosthesis

2022
Abstract The Conformable TAG (CTAG) endoprosthesis, a currently available Gore thoracic device, has been approved and shown to be effective for endovascular treatment of aneurysm, traumatic transection, and Type B dissection in the descending thoracic aorta. The design modification that led to improved conformability and the expansion of the oversizing window has reduced complications such as graft collapse/compression and wire fracture seen in older-generation TAG endoprosthesis. The unresolved issue with the CTAG device is rare but is a potential devastating risk of deployment failure.
