This month Matt Freudmann, the BOTA president writes an update on how the Modernising Medical Careers (MMC) proposals are progressing. A few months ago we were being assured that the Certificate of Completion of Training would be no different from the Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training in terms of standards and eligibility for posts. The new MMC structure for progression would appear to be far more subtle and complex than a simple 'run-through' now, with more avenues out of programmes into service posts. Mr Freudmann is nervous…
