Application of laparoscopic high ligation and strengthened myopectineal orifice in the treatment of pediatric recurrent inguinal hernia

2014
Objective To explore the application of laparoscopic high ligation and strengthened myopectineal orifice in the treatment of pediatric recurrent inguinal hernia. Methods The clinical data of twenty eight cases were collected for a retrospective analysis. Results Twenty-five cases finished a bilateral operation and 2 unilateral operations. The other one underwent inner high ligation due to the navel narrowness. One patient had postoperative scrotum swelling and disappeared five days later, while one patient suffered from pulling and pain in the inguinal area and also disappeared 12 days later because of taking analgesics. Conclusions It is a new technique for treating pediatric recurrent inguinal hernia, but needs further long-term follow-up and multicenter analysis for the complications of inguinal pulling and pains. Key words: Hernia, high ligation; Strengthened myopectineal orifice; Recurrent inguinal hernia
