Helium-Oxygen Therapy for Infants With Bronchiolitis

Patientsinitiallyreceivednebulizedal-buteroltreatmentdrivenby100%oxygen.Patientswererandomized to the helium-oxygen or oxygen group andreceived nebulized racemic epinephrine via a face mask.Afternebulization,humidifiedhelium-oxygenoroxygenwas delivered by HFNC. After 60 minutes of inhalationtherapy,patientswithanM-WCASof2orhigherreceiveda second delivery of nebulized racemic epinephrine fol-lowed by helium-oxygen or oxygen delivered by HFNC.
