A case report of Blastomyces tenosynovitis, with a literature review on fungal tenosynovitis

2001
Abstract Fungal tenosynovitis is a rare condition that occurs sporadically, mainly in patients with immunodeficiencies. We report an imported case of North American blastomycosis in an immunocompetent 63-year-old gardener. Findings that should suggest fungal tenosynovitis and the main causative fungi are reviewed based on data from the literature.
