Intense growth of ozone concentration in subcritical fields in oxygen plasma

Abstract Experimental and theoretical investigations of ozone generation in oxygen plasma below the critical field of breakdown are presented. A considerable increase of the ozone concentration in the “silent” discharge near the threshold of breakdown is found. Numerical calculations support experimental results.
