Prognosis of Small Cell Lung Cancer
2004
Prognostic factors are defined as the pre-therapeutic factors characterizing a patient (or his/her disease) that are related to clinical outcomes of the disease. Ideally, using prognostic factors should make it possible to make predictions about patient outcomes, either individually or on a collective level, in order to construct patient classifications that exemplify homogeneity with respect to the prognosis inside the classes and heterogeneity between groups.
