A series of organic-inorganic hybrid silicotungstate microtubes: Tunable syntheses and spectroscopic properties

2018
Abstract A series of organic-inorganic hybrid silicotungstate microtubes bpy-MSiW 12 (bpy = 2,2′-bipydine; M = Mn II , Fe III , Co II , Ni II , Cu II ) have been successfully synthesized under mild solution conditions by introducing organic ligand and different transition-metals. Detailed experiments reveal that the components and sizes of bpy-MSiW 12 microtubes can be controlled. Furthermore, the spectroscopic properties of bpy-NiSiW 12 were investigated, exhibiting a remarkable emission spectrum with a peak centered at 468 nm, corresponding to the photoluminescence of organic molecule. The strategy demonstrated in this report can be applied to prepare functional organic-inorganic hybrid nano/micro materials based on polyoxometalates, and may find potential applications in bioimaging, fluorescent chemical sensors or optoelectronic devices.
