Provided is a novel production method for a solid catalyst component for polymerizing olefins that has superior olefin polymerization activity, superior activity on hydrogen during polymerization, and enables the production of polymerized olefins exhibiting superior rigidity, high MFR, and high stereoregularity. The production method for a solid catalyst component for polymerizing olefins is characterized by: a first step in which washing is performed subsequent to a magnesium compound, a tetravalent titanium halogen compound, and one or more types of a first internal electron-donating compound other than an aromatic dicarboxylic acid diester being contacted and reacted; a second step in which washing is performed subsequent to a tetravalent titanium halogen compound, one of more types of a second internal electron-donating compound, and the obtained product being contacted and reacted; and, subsequently, a third step in which one or more types of a third internal electron-donating compound are contacted with the obtained product and reacted.
