Development of a high signal-to-noise ratio terahertz-wave parametric generator

In this study, noise-free THz-wave output from an injection-seeded THz-wave parametric generator (is-TPG) was achieved by high-power injection seeding. The THz signal and broadband noise originated from different positions in the LiNbO 3 crystal, and only the pure THz signal was successfully extracted. Using this system, quantitative spectroscopy of high attenuation reagents (above −60 dB) was successfully achieved.
