Neoplasms That Present as Multicystic Lung Disease

2021
There are a wide range of conditions that can manifest with thin-walled cystic lung changes including both primary lung neoplasms and metastatic disease. This chapter focuses on neoplastic processes that result in cavitary, cystic, or cyst-like lesions, including primary pulmonary malignancies, pulmonary metastases including mesenchymal and epithelial tumors, lymphomas, and various sarcomas. The radiological and pathological features are reviewed along with discussion of the clinical features of a number of these conditions that can present as isolated, multifocal, or diffuse cystic lesions in the lung.
