Tratamento cirúrgico da tendinose insercional do tendão calcâneo

2013
Objective: To evaluate the outcome of the surgical technique for treating insertional Achilles tendon tendinosis. Methods: We analyzed 12 patients with achiles insertional tendinosis, which underwent surgical treatment through postero-superior calcaneal exostectomy, tendon resection and fixation with three anchors and polyglactin 2, from February 2007 to October 2008. Patients were evaluated preoperatively and postoperatively by the The American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society (AOFAS) scale and had a mean follow-up period of 1 year and 11 months. For the statistical analysis we used the t test, for parametric tests, and analysis of variance, for double posts – the chi-square of Friedman. Results: There was improvement in pain and there was no loss of ankle mobility. Conclusion: It was an effective method to treat this condition when conservative treatment does not get adequate results
