The efficacy of vitrectomy for complex ocular trauma

Objective To observe the efficacy of vitrectomy for complex ocular trauma.Methods To retrospectively summarize the data of 33 cases (33 eyes) with complex ocular trauma and analyze the efficacy of surgery.Results Postoperative visual acuity was improved in 30 eyes (90.9 %).Postoperative vision in 4 eyes with no light perception (NLP) before operation was recovered.Intraocular foreign body removal rate was 100%,retinal reattachment rate was 100%.Conclusion The development of modern vitreous microsurgery has greatly improved the treatment effect of complex ocular trauma,making NLP eyes obtain the hope of recoving visual acuity to a certain extent.
