Proteomics in diffused parenchymal lung diseases

2008
Proteomics is the study of the entire protein complement of the genome in a biologicalsystem. Compared to traditional methods which have the capacity to detect only one protein at a time, proteomics has the advantage to identify changes in protein patterns. The mechanisms leading to diffusedparenchymal lung diseases(DPLD) are complex, involving various protein network. Proteomies has become anew approach because of its advantages of high throughput and entirely comparing. This review describeshow proteomics experiments are conducted and how it has been used in DPLD. Key words: Proteomics;  Diffused parenchymal lung diseases;  Bronchoalveolar lavage fluid;  Lungfibroblast
