2007
Longitudinal study descriptive, with the aim of assessing the clinical course of patients with drug-releasing stents compared to conventional ones. Of the 279 patients treated between May 2004 and August 2006 two groups were taken: treated with stent-releasing drugs (37 lesions) and conventional stent (46). Excluded were patients who did not accept to participate and those who were not followed. In symptomatics cases tested positive a coronagraphy was repeated. Major cardiovascular events and restenosis were followed. We used test Chi2, and the difference between medians, Kaplan-Meier curves and test of logarithmic ranges. There was Subacute occlusion and myocardial q at 2.2% of the conventional stent, myocardial not q in 4.7% of the conventional versus 2.7% in the liberators. Restenosis was documented in 8.7% in the first group and 2.7% in the second, an equal number needed new interventionism. Concluding that stents farmacoativos reduce the incidence of major cardiovascular events and restenosis, not increasing the late thrombosis. Keywords: Stent releasing drugs, restenosis, rapamycin, paclitaxel.
