Cultural Traditions as Part of Spanish National Identity

2019
The formation of universal cultural competence is an important element of studying a foreign language and developing a linguistic word image. Each language throughout its history is a reflection of traditions, character and cultural treasures of a nation that speaks it, which are passed down through the generations. Spain is one of the countries that has managed to both preserve its traditions and to develop them, make them the province of all mankind: flamenco, fallas valencianas, Mediterranean cuisine have become an integral part of the world heritage, embodying the concepts of festivity, cultural identity and social cohesion, as well as art, music and language. Fallas is a feast of fire, which falls on the days of equinox and culminates on 19 March.
