Background Patients harboring concomitant epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) mutations and anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK) arrangements constitute a small subgroup of non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients. The efficacy of EGFR tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) and the ALK-specific TKI crizotinib in these patients has not been well-established.
