Control of explosive mixtures in PWR waste gas systems
1985
A study has been performed to evaluate problems associated with the existence of flammable or explosive gas mixtures in Pressurized Water Reactor waste gas systems. Information on existing waste gas systems, waste gas concentrations, and gas monitoring instrumentation obtained from six operating nuclear power plants is summarized. A comparative risk evaluation has been performed for several generic types and configurations of PWR waste gas systems. Waste gas systems in the plant
