Synthesis of Ti3C2TX decorated with silver nanoparticles as a surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS)-active substrate

2021
Abstract The Ti3C2TX/Ag nanocomposite was successfully prepared by light-induced reduction of AgNO3 solution on the surface of Ti3C2TX under ultraviolet light. We explored the factors that affect the properties of Ti3C2TX/Ag nanocomposites by controlling the reaction time of the process of reduction. The prepared Ti3C2TX/Ag material was used as a surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS)-active substrate, exhibiting superior performance in surface enhanced Raman scattering and it's detection limit is 5 times higher than that of the pure Ti3C2TX material. The detection limit can as high as 1.0 × 10−11 mol/L When using rhodamine dye (RhB) as a probe molecule. The results further reveal the potential applications of Mxenes as a new two-dimensional material in Raman spectroscopy.
