Analysis of resistance to anti-TB drugs of mycobacterium tuberculosis among inpatients with pulmonary tuberculosis in Shantou

Objective To analyze resistant situation to anti-TB drugs of mycobacterium tuberculosis among inpatients with pulmonary tuberculosis in the Third People's Hospital of Shantou.Methods The retrospective sampling analysis was conducted on drug resistant tests to IN H,RFP,SM and EMB of mycobacterium tuberculosis among 100 inpatients from Jan 1,2008 to Dec 31,2010.The drug resistance rate of new treatment group and re-treatment group were observed.Results The drug resistance rate of INH,RFP and EMB of re-treatment group were significantly higher than those of new treatment group ( 59.5％ vs 25.4％,40.5％ vs 7.9％ and 43.2％ vs 11.1％,all P ＜ 0.01 ); The drug resistance rate of SM were 18.9％ in the re-treatment group and 20.6％ in the new treatment group,the difference between the two groups were not statistically significant ( P ＞ 0.05 ).Conclusions The drug resistant tests of anti-TB drugs were necessary to the patients with pulmonary tuberculosis especially in re-treatment patients,and the use of SM should be caused to attention.
