Analysis of the influence of daytime cataract surgery mode and traditional operation mode on cataract patients

2019
Objective To investigate the effect of daytime cataract surgery mode and traditional surgery mode on the incidence of complications, hospitalization time, and safety. Methods A total of 162 cataract patients who came to our hospital for ophthalmology from June 2018 to April 2019 were randomly selected. All patients underwent cataract surgery. They were randomly divided into study group and control group, 81 cases in each group. The surgical mode of the study group was the daytime surgery mode, and the operation mode of the control group was routine hospitalization. The differences and effects of the two surgical modes were compared and analyzed. Results The hospitalization time of the study group was (1.1±0.2) days, and the treatment cost was (7 050.4±62.5) Yuan, which were significantly lower than those of the control group [(6.2±0.5) days, (8 280.6±140.7) Yuan] (P 0.05). Conclusion The daytime cataract surgery mode can effectively shorten the operation time, reduce the patients' treatment burden, improve the utilization of medical resources, improve patient satisfaction, and the treatment effect is consistent with hospitalization, which is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
