A Study on the Impact of Entrepreneurial Education on Entrepreneurial Intention of College Students

2018
Based on the questionnaire result of 5874 students in 25 colleges over China, this paper probes into the causal impact of entrepreneurial education on entrepreneurial intention. A triple-ISO mode with generalized entrepreneurial attitude(GEA), personal background and entrepreneurial intention is conceptualized. GEA consists of entrepreneurial motivation, knowledge of entrepreneurial elements, and perception of the environment, whereas personal background encompasses personal social background and education. With structural equation modeling and analysis of variance, it is found that entrepreneurial education significantly influences intention directly, and also indirectly through GEA as an intermediate variable. As a result, entrepreneurial education of college students ought to be emphasized.
