Highly improve photochemical and thermal stability of quantum dots by growing a core-in-matrix hetero-structure

Stability and thermal quenching is critical for application of quantum dots. In this article we developed a quantum dots in matrix structure, wherein the lattice mismatches between semiconductor crystal layers are optimized to reduce stress thus achieve large volume coating. This structure provides quantum dots with much lower thermal quenching and effectively improved quantum efficiency and photochemical stability, especial in air to make them ready for industrial application.
