A comprehensive dialogue for U-body sensor network (UBSN) with experimental case study

2019
Abstract Ubiquitous healthcare and hence telemedicine aid is becoming a popular insight among the individuals in the society. The Internet age has proved its creditability for reasonably accurate remote health diagnosis. Accordingly, U-healthcare systems require further sophistication to manage assimilation of sensor networks and its synchronization. In particular, the challenges of U-body sensor network (UBSN) have been surveyed to provide the near-optimal solutions in U-healthcare. The proposed book chapter is planned to review existing technologies related to UBSN, communication protocols, and data capture methodologies. An experimental case study is discussed with network delay and latency issues, which emphasizes the challenges in ubiquitous computation, data handling, and data processing. The work nuclides on design perspective of multichannel gateway composed of streaming, polling, and sampled data. The recommendation system is developed in consensus with physiotherapist and real-time data from multichannel gateway to endorse the sports’ activity or physical exercise for the Health Consumer. UBSN implicates differentiable wireless body sensors, local area network (LAN), and embedded system devices to process and monitor the system. This integrated framework provides a fast processing platform with viable reliability in body sensor network. In short, the ultimate aim of the chapter is to encourage novice and even expert users toward Use Cases of U-Health systems and propose a model to choreograph the backend in UBSN.
