Perovskite Solar Cells Processed by Solution Nanotechnology

2019
Abstract The halide perovskite solar cell (PSC) is a type of new-generation solar cell that employs a solution-processed, perovskite-structured compound as a light harvester, with p-type and n-type interface materials in a sandwiched p-i-n configuration. This chapter focuses on introducing the evolution of PSCs. First, we describe the excellent optical and electronic properties of the halide perovskite semiconductors. Second, we review the performance development of PSCs using the solution technique and nanotechnology. Finally, we present the commercial perspectives and challenges for the practical application of PSCs.
