Pharmaceutical composition containing n-acyl derivative of aminoalcohol

PURPOSE: To obtain a pharmaceutical composition for treating autoimmune symptoms containing an N-acyl derivative of an aminoalcohol as an active ingredient. CONSTITUTION: This pharmaceutical composition comprises a compound of formula I (R 2 is a 1-20C straight-chain or branched chain hydroxyalkyl which may be substituted by one or more kinds of aromatic groups in an alkyl chain part or a hydroxyaryl which may be substituted by one or more kinds of 1-20C straight-chain or branched chain alkyl groups; R 3 is H or R 2 ; formula II is an acyl), e.g. N,N-bis(2-hydroxyethyl)-palmitoylamide. The pharmaceutical composition is useful for treatment or prevention of both of human and animal symptoms accompanying degranulation of mast cell caused by neurogenic and/or immunogenic hyperstimulation. The compound acts as a local autacoid and is suitable for the treatment of multiple sclerosis, psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, scleriasis, acute polymyositis, pemphigus, Sjogren's syndrome, etc. COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO
