Toxicity of graphene in normal human lung cells (BEAS-2B).

2011
Graphite nanomaterials such as thermally exfoliated graphite oxide (GO) are versatile in many applications. However, little is known about its effects on biological systems. In this study we Delivered by Ingenta along with the toxicological aspects characrerized the GO using dynamic light scattering (DLS)to: University of Delhi - lung cells (BEAS-2B). A significant conrelated to cytotoxicity and apoptosis in normal humanNew Delhi centration and time dependent decrease :in cell viability was observed at different concentrations IP 14.139.45.241 (10–100 g/ml) by the MTT assay after 24Sep 2011of exposure and significant increase of early Tue, 13 and 48 h 11:35:51 and late apoptotic cells was observed as compared to control cells. Our study demonstrates that GO induces cytotoxicity and apoptosis in human lung cells.
