During the subspecialty trianing program the fellow in trianing should learn to understand and perform radical pelvic surgery, including intestinal and urology procedures, and in addition a deep knowledge of chemotherapy and radiation therapy is important for the complete treatment of gynaecologic neoplasms. The subspecialty of gynaecologic oncology has made many advances over the last few decades; there have been several changes to the management of gynaecologic cancers, which have led to improved outcome and well-being of patients.
