Ganglioglioma desmoplásico infantil

The desmoplastic infantile ganglioglioma (DIG) is a rare tumor that belongs to the group of the mixed neuronal and glial tumors, and it was described for the first time by VandenBerg, in 198716. It is a supratentorial tumor, massive, usually adherent to the dura mater. Pathologic examinationdemonstrates a desmoplastic lesion and immunohistochemical test is positive for GFAP. Two cases are presently reported and the clinical and therapeutics aspects are discussed.
