DNA repair synthesis in individuals with and without a family history of cancer

We report an extension of our previous observations, by demonstrating that asymptomatic individuals with a positive family history of cancer, not confined to colorectal cancer, also have a reduced DNA repair response in peripheral blood mononuclear cells when compared to individuals with a negative family history of cancer. We also discuss the possible origins of the defect in UDS
