Synthesis of Platinum Nanoparticles with High Catalytic Activity Supported on Magnetic Carbon Nanospheres

2019
In this work, the Pt NPs/Fe3O4-DIB-DETA-CNSs nanohybrids have been synthesized through in situ deposition of uniform Pt and Fe3O4 NPs on the surface of carbon nanospheres. The resulting nanohybrids exhibit good catalytic performance and stability in the reduction of 4-nitrophenol in aqueous solution. Meanwhile, they can be easily separated through an external magnet, and their catalytic properties were also viable even after ten cycles. The unusual catalytic activity should be ascribed to the effects of the Pt NPs anchored on carbon nanospheres.
