Liver metastasis from typical meningioma: case report.

2020
BACKGROUND Extracranial metastases from atypical meningioma are not usual found, sometime found in lung, bone or scalp, but found in the liver were extremely rare. CASE DESCRIPTION We report a case of 55-years old patient with atypical meningioma, treated with surgical resection in 2005 year, and accepted second surgical resection in 2015 by the same surgeon, occurring a liver metastasis 4 years post the second surgical resection. CONCLUSION To the best of our knowledge, we have analysed cytological findings of an metastase meningioma with particular focus on pathological and immunohistochemical (IHC) assessment. These results could improve the cognition of surgeons about meningioma types and guide them to solve clinical incidents.
