Optische und chemische Eigenschaften von Steinkohlen

The fluorescence behabiour of vitrinites was investigated on 16 coal samples from the Ruhr area and 13 samples from the Saar area. The optical investigation with white and fluorescent light were supplemented by the methods of organic geochemistry and fluorescence analysis of the extracts. The results were put together to an overall picture in order to understand the relationship between the optical and chemical properties of the vitrinites and to show the coking properties of the coal
