Complete, Partial, and Lack of Response to Intervention: Bariatric Revisional Procedures

Obesity has become a growing pandemic. The understanding of this disease has shifted from it being a result of poor lifestyle choice to being a chronic disease. Bariatric surgery has been proven to be the most clinical and cost-effective treatment available. Given the chronicity of obesity, it is important to consider long-term treatment options including revision bariatric surgery to keep obesity in remission. This understanding should be shared between all stakeholders to ensure appropriate management and long-term access to care.
