Steroid Treatment of Subretinal Fluid Caused by Imatinib - A Case Report

2016
Imatinib may rarely cause retinal oedema. In previous reports, retinal oedema healed on the discontinuation of imatinib and cystoid macular oedema was eliminated by systemic steroid treatment. In the present case, a subretinal serosity probably due to imatinib treatment improved both anatomically and functionally in response to subTenon triamcinolone injection, which has a less adverse effect than systemic treatment.
