Disorders of the metabolism of calcium and phosphor in premature infants

Premature infants are at high risk of disorders of the metabolism of calcium and phosphor.The metabolism of calcium and phosphor is influenced by many factors,such as vitamin D,parathyroid hormone and feeding.Metabolic bone disease (MBD) and nephrocalcinosis (NC) are common diseases caused by this disorders of metabolism.MBD is mainly caused by inadequate storage befor birth.,high sensitive diagnosis of MBD considers both alkaline phosphatase and phosphor levels in blood.Moderate dose of vitamin D and Passive limb movement help prevent MBD.Etiology of nephrocalcinosis (NC) is complicated.Hypercalciuria is the major risk factors of NC.The first choice of diagnosis for NC is B ultrasound,but the treatment for NC needs further research.
