Analysis of the factors related to the development of premature ovarian failure.

Objective To analyze the potential factors related to the development of premature ovarian failure(POF),and provide theoretic foundation of its prophylaxis.Method The data of each case was collected and analyzed by regressional analysis in POF group(n=150) and control group(n=150).Result There are 12 factors showed relationship with POF by the single-factor conditional logistic regression analysis,such as marriage,the times of induced abortion,mood,alcohol abuse and smoking etc;there are 7 factors showed relationship with POF by multivatiate conditional logistic regression analysis,such as marriage(OR=5.753),the times of induced abortion(OR=2.076),smoking(OR=3.002),mood(OR=0.164),frequency of eating vegetable(OR=0.341) and parotitis(OR=11.460).Conclusion The etiology of POF has relationship with life style,behavior,environment,iatrogenic and infection.Among these,the marriage,number of induced abortion,mood,drinking,parotitis and intake of vegetable,were the main possible cause of POF.
