Correlation between TCM Syndrome of Chronic Hepatitis B and Liver Function

2014
Objective: To explore the correlation of TCM syndrome of chronic hepatitis B and liver function type. Methods: 235 patients with chronic hepatitis B were chosen. According to their clinical signs, they were divided into liver depression and spleen deficiency group( 74 cases),damp- heat resistance group( 80 cases),spleen and kidney Yang deficiency group( 20 cases),liver and kidney Yin deficiency group( 25 cases) and blood stasis blocking collaterals group( 36 cases). The liver functions( ALT, AST,ALT / AST,TBIL,DBIL) of the five groups were compared. Results: ALT( 235. 77 ± 113. 31,197. 34 ± 83. 39) μ / L and AST( 184. 53 ±73. 85,135. 61 ±62. 17) μ/L in damp- heat resistance group and liver depression and spleen deficiency group were significantly higher than those of the other three groups( P 0. 05). TBIL( 45. 77 ± 43. 31) μmol / L and DBIL( 34. 53 ± 33. 85) μmol / L in damp- heat resistance group were significantly higher than those of the other four groups( P 0. 05). TBIL and DBIL in other syndrome groups were in the normal range. Conclusion: Different TCM syndromes of hepatitis B have different degrees of liver functions and there is a correlation between the TCM syndrome and liver function.
