Clinical analysis of treatment on mild or moderate obesity human by laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy

Objective To evaluate therapeutic effect and quality of life of postoperative of laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy(LSG) on mild or moderate obesity human with body mass index between 27.5 kg/m2 to 32.5 kg/m2(27.5 kg/m2 ≤ BMI < 32.5 kg/m2). Methods The clinical data of 33 patients of mild or moderate obesity human with body mass index between 27.5 kg/m2 to 32.5 kg/m2(27.5 kg/m2 ≤ BMI <32.5 kg/m2) between Feb. 2014 to Aug. 2015 in Thyroid and Diabetes Surgery Center, Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine were analyzed retrospectively in physical outcomes and quality of life. Results At one year of postoperative, there were significant declined(P< 0.05)in weight, BMI, waist circumference and buttock circumference. The outcomes of Obesity 36-Item Short-Form health survey were improved markedly (P<0.05). Couclusions The recently therapeutic effect of postoperative of LSG is certain and quality of life is improved markedly, long-term clinical results require more and longer comprehensive analysis.
