Cardiovascular effects and central mechanism of L-Securinine in rats

2008
Objective To investigate the cardiovascular effects of L-Sec and its central mechanism. Methods The arterial blood pressure(AP),heart rate(HR)were recorded in rats when L-Sec was administered through intravenous injection(iv),intracerebroventricular injection(icv)and microinjection to the central nucleus.Rsult AP increased and HR decreased in intravenous injection, while both of them increased in intracerebroventricular injection and microinjection to the central nucleus.ConclusionL-Sec may antagonize tonic inhibitory of GABAergic and cause sympathetic nerve excitement.
