Research on the sensing performance of YSZ-based FeWO 4 hydrogen sensor

FeWO 4 nano-materials was synthesized by hydrothermal
method. XRD and SEM were used to characterize and analyze the FeWO 4 nano-materials, and a kind of YSZ-based mixed potential type
FeWO 4 /YSZ/Pt hydrogen sensor was developed. The FeWO 4 /YSZ/Pt sensor indicated a good sensitivity performance to
hydrogen in a concentration range of 80–960 ppm and
excellent selectivity to some possible interferences such as CO, C 3 H 8 and NO 2 at 500°C in a background
of 10 vol% oxygen balanced with nitrogen. The sensor also have favorable
repeatability and sensor to sensor consistency. Compared with existing
MnWO 4 /YSZ/Pt and CdWO 4 /YSZ/Pt hydrogen sensor,
the sensing performance of FeWO 4 /YSZ/Pt hydrogen sensor
was better.
