ABSTRACT Utilizing Web 2.0 technologies such as blogs, wikis, and social networking sites can provide innovative and creative means to communicate with library patrons. They can also serve as a purposeful information repository for individuals looking for information on a particular topic. A pain management resource for cancer patients and their caregivers was created to provide a concise “one-stop” location for this community to access the latest and most reliable consumer health information regarding this topic. The process of planning, organizing, building, and maintaining the wiki is chronicled in this article.
