The Current Views of Clinical Oncology Trainees

2014
The Oncology Registrars’ Forum (ORF) has in the past years strived to voice the trainees’ perspective on their training and to highlight to members of the Royal College of Radiologists (RCR) the present positive aspects as well as problems in the training of future clinical oncologists [1e4]. The fourth ORF surveywas carried out in early 2013 andwas completed by 260 of 391 trainees (65.7%). The collected data focus on the delicate balance between training, examinations, research, out of programme experience (OOPE), service provision and their impact on personal life. This summary highlights the trainees’ opinions on these aspects of clinical oncology training currently delivered in the UK.
