The beneficial ef fects of aspirin and ACE inhibitors in patients with coronary artery disease and heart failure have been well established; however, the clinical relevance of the drug interaction between these agents remains cotroversial. Some studies suggest that aspirin may attenuate hemodynamic effect ACE inhibitors of variables. Recent reports concluded that among coronary artery disease patients with and without heart failure who are treated with ACE inhibitors the use of aspirin was associated with lower mortality than treatment without aspirin.
