Asymptomatic atrial fibrillation has been reported to be associated with an increased risk of embolism. We investigated whether the left ventricular (LV) stiffness assessed by diastolic wall strain (DWS) predicts atrial high rate episodes (AHREs) in patients with pacemaker implantation (PMI).
