Estimation of gestational age in Zambian newborn infants.

1981
SUMMARYThe Dubowitz scoring system for gestational age, based on ten neurological and 11 external criteria, has been applied to 160 Zambian newborn infants. Each of the methods independently bears a highly significant correlation with the gestational age as estimated from menstrual history. However, the combined total score, with a correlation coefficient of 0.9, is superior to either alone. The correlation coefficient, confidence limits and equation approximate to those obtained by Dubowitz et al, (3).
